On Saturday I played football at the Field House field with a bunch of guys I know from North. We played for about 3-4 hours and I didn't feel sore at all. It was a lot of fun despite the cold because once you got moving you warmed up. I went to bed that night completely fine and slept extremely well. However, it is now Monday and I still can hardly move. My whole body is sore and it's a hassle to even bend down to tie my shoes. I can't believe that I didn't feel anything for hours after playing but that I still feel the effects of 3 hours of activity 2 days later.
I have a Turkey Bowl to attend on Friday and can only hope that by then my body has recovered.

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of showers; what you need to do after the next time you participate in any sports related activity is take a contrast shower. What you do is turn the shower on the coldest setting possible then step in and let the water run everywhere. This will last 45 seconds then you immediately turn the shower to the warmest setting possible. This will last about a minute and 15 seconds. You repeat this 3 times. End your shower on cold for 30 seconds.
